We are a German family-owned manufacturing company with 87 years of history. We are engaged in the design, manufacture and installation of conservatory in Germany. Headquartered in Hessen, Germany, with an annual output of 50-80 conservatory serving the German local market. In the China market, we provide technology transfer, technical services, and a full set of technical support, so The factory can get all ability of design, produce, install conservatory who want manufacture the High-Quilty Conservatory. We already have 9 customers who using our system to produce conservatory in China.

Visit our wonderful exhibition at the company headquarters in Solms, in a convenient location, very close to Wetzlar / Gießen. Here you have the opportunity to look directly at sample objects from the Steinbach editions in a relaxed, atmospheric environment and to receive competent advice.

In addition to the actual summer and winter gardens, you can also experience the various shading, ventilation and control technologies live or find out about the various color combinations on our color wall.

History Introduction

 

Founding

Steinbach Wintergarten founding in 1933.

The first-generation founder Otto Steinbach founded a Wood workshop named family name.

1946

Expand the production plant area to provide all woodworking products from furniture and wall panels to stairs and windows.

1972

The second generation of the family Hulmut Steinbach enters the company. The production base continued to expand with new facilities, and the degree of specialization in the construction of doors and windows was further improved.

1976

As one of the very first window manufacturing companies, it starts manufacturing windows with a frame thickness of 68mm. The Steinbach window becomes a trademark and is constantly being further developed. As early as 1981, Steinbach windows were given a finishing treatment with lacquers as standard!

1988

After a few renovations and extensions, around 7,000 windows are now being manufactured per year on a production area of around 1,500m². The proportion of wooden winter gardens is growing steadily.

1990

One of the first companies in the region to receive the HKH quality mark "Qualified Master Company for Windows and Doors". Conservatory construction is becoming more and more important and is developing into a second mainstay.

1992

In order to prepare for the future, one joins the Wintergarten-Fachverband e.V. One deals with security around the window and receives the first test certificates from the Institut für Fenstertechnik e.V. in Rosenheim.r and develops into a second mainstay.

1998

After training as a carpenter and studying engineering, as well as working in various window and conservatory construction companies, Matthias Steinbach is the third generation to take over. The production of wood-aluminum windows begins. The proportion of wood-aluminum winter gardens is increasing steadily. All projects are now planned using CAD.

 

  

1999

Conservatory and facade construction has become the mainstay and is continuously being expanded.

 

2002

We can now look back on the experience of around 2,500 residential winter gardens that have been manufactured and installed. As more and more specific solutions are required, one gradually develops one's own winter garden system; the Steinbach system is created! One begins with the planning for the construction of a winter garden exhibition.

 

2003

The construction of one of the most beautiful winter garden exhibitions begins in autumn 2003. The very complex extension is being built over a length of around 35 meters parallel to the first production hall. The building envelope and the interior work are almost entirely in-house.

 

2004

The almost finished exhibition is already being used to the full. The official opening is planned for early summer. Meanwhile, high-quality residential winter gardens and summer gardens are almost exclusively produced. In order to convey this to the outside world, a new company logo was developed and the name was adapted at the same time: Steinbach-Fensterbau KG becomes Steinbach-Wintergarten KG. The proportion of wood-aluminum winter gardens is 100%.

 

2004

Opening of the beautiful winter garden exhibition at the company headquarters in Solms (near Wetzlar). Experience the fascination of the living room conservatory in a stylish ambience and take a look at our modern winter garden production!

 

2005

The further expansion of winter garden production is progressing continuously. In addition to a few smaller machine systems, our CNC machining center will be the centerpiece of wood production this year.

 

2007

The new winter garden line MODENA is officially available. The special thing about this new winter garden line is its fantastic design and innovative construction.

  

2008

Awarded the new seal of competence of the Wintergarten Association e.V .. Steinbach has fulfilled the quality criteria of the original Rosenheim Wintergarten Association for 16 years! The number of residential winter gardens produced exceeds the three-thousand-meter mark!

In connection with the 10-year guarantee on tightness, the name Steinbach stands for unique quality that cannot be found anywhere else in Germany.

2008

In addition to the unchanged direct sales of individual winter and summer gardens from Solms to private customers, there are now two different ways of cooperation for interested companies who would like to offer high-quality winter and summer gardens in the future. The basis here is our know-how from over thirty years of winter garden construction experience, paired with our innovative construction software and our modern production facilities.

 

2010

The first Steinbach winter garden manufactured under license is being built in China. Chase Windows from Hong Kong is our first enterprise system partner who uses our know-how to manufacture winter gardens for the Chinese market.

2011

Steinbach is expanding the exhibition with an additional winter garden island with two new sample objects. These are the latest models from the NOVARA (flat roof winter garden) and TERRAMO (summer garden / roofing) lines. The exhibition now consists of an indoor and an outdoor area.

A total of six different sample objects can now be viewed in one of the most beautiful winter and summer garden exhibitions in Germany.

 

2013

CAD PLANNING AND CNC MANUFACTURING

Our manufacturing

 

The best planning in advance is of little use if the materials used are of inferior quality and the production technology is at the same level as Master Eder and his Pumuckl; as romantic as this idea may seem.

State-of-the-art manufacturing processes, well-organized work processes, high-quality raw materials and, above all, well-trained and committed employees are essential for modern summer and winter garden solutions that meet the highest demands. And it goes without saying that we rely on MADE IN GERMANY.

 

 

   

The best glued laminated timber for an exact summer and winter garden construction in wood-aluminum construction. We only use premium wood. This is an almost flawless product.

 

  

All aluminum profiles are developed by us. We do not work with standard profiles, but with in-house developments that are specially adapted to the needs of our special constructions. After processing, the profiles are powder-coated in the color of your choice.

 

  

Control of the wood with immediate repair of small imperfections.

 
   

Computer-controlled processing of the individual part in one clamping. This protects the workpiece and enables very exact and precisely fitting connections.
