The exclusive living room conservatory with an insulated flat roof and optional glass dome
Novara is the perfect interplay of high-quality materials, sophisticated construction and a feeling for design and aesthetics. With its clear design language and the refined detailed solutions, Novara fits just as well with contemporary, modern architecture as it does with an old building as a calculated style break. The well-insulated roof ensures a very special feel-good climate. It prevents overheating in summer and provides cozy warmth in winter. The glazed facade with its filigree supporting structure provides the fine winter garden ambience. The closed flat roof can also be opened with a narrow pent roof or a stylish hipped roof glass dome. Novara is our premium home conservatory and is now the most common type of conservatory we manufacture. Novara winter gardens are individual living space extensions for high demands and they are available in three different styles.

Novara conservatory in the Bauhaus style
The cubic Bauhaus variant is the most reduced Novara variant and at the same time also the most manufactured. It particularly scores with its clear and unmistakable design and the many structural and optical highlights. All Novara winter gardens have the special channel developed by us, which ensures optimal flat roof drainage and elegantly absorbs the incoming facade shading. As an option, atmospheric LED outdoor lighting can also be integrated into the channel.
Fine details, such as the extremely slim wood-aluminum structure, the all-glass corner with internal stainless steel column, large-format glazing or various dome variants, make Novara conservatories in the Bauhaus style an outstanding living space extension of the particularly stylish kind. |
In addition to the special architecture, the well-insulated roof, which is common to all Novara variants, must also be clearly emphasized. The perfectly insulated and rear-ventilated flat roof ensures a very pleasant, balanced room climate. The insulation values are roughly the same as those of a new roof, so a comfortable room temperature is achieved in the cold season with normal use of energy, without any drafts from falling, cold air flows. At least as important, however, is the well-insulating roof construction for the indoor climate on warm days when a glass roof conservatory - even with an external roof awning - reaches its limits. The thick roof insulation prevents excessive heating and ensures very pleasant temperatures on hot days. |

Flat roof winter gardens are no less bright inside than glass roof winter gardens, which have to be shaded on most days of the year with the darkest possible awning cloth - dark cloths absorb solar energy much better than light cloths. By using different types of glass dome, you can even achieve a significantly brighter room light than with a shaded glass roof winter garden, as the special dome glass does not have to be shaded. It is only important that the proportion of glass in the roof does not become too large, otherwise the ratio of well-insulated roof to poorly insulating glass will tilt. Whether a completely closed flat roof or an opening of the roof with a desk or hipped roof glass dome is purely a matter of taste! |

Novara conservatory in country style

Novara winter gardens in country house style are technically identical to the Bauhaus variant. If everything is strongly reduced and purist in the Bauhaus version, the country house version is much more homely. More solid corner posts, small glass fields - often with bars or the popular Steinbach corners - more profiled supporting structure, inside mostly wood look, special channel with identical functions, but wider and more strongly profiled, ensure the visual difference and the very special country house look.
Novara conservatories in the country house style are often made with hipped roof glass domes, which are then often equipped with the popular LED starry sky, for atmospheric room lighting.
The lighting in the winter garden is generally of great importance. Properly planned, it creates a pleasant ambience and makes the winter garden the most popular room in the house, even in the evening.
In addition to the dimmable starry sky in the hipped roof glass dome, the closed ceiling can be equipped with ceiling spotlights - for this purpose a corresponding installation level is provided in the roof structure - and LED strip variants. Profiles - especially the Steinbach corners - can also be set in scene with light in the facade. For outdoor lighting, our various special channels offer appropriate cable ducts into which LED spots can be individually inserted.
In principle, extensive greening of the flat roof is also possible with all Novara variants. However, due to the standard good roof insulation, the effect of the greenery on the room climate is rather marginal. It is therefore mainly the appearance and of course the conscious creation of living space on the otherwise unused roof that influence the decision for a green roof.

Novara conservatory with Victorian style

From the purist Bauhaus variant to the more playful country house variant, we now come to the most distinctive variant, the Novara winter garden in Victorian style. It is the type with the maximum profiling and, even in the basic version, more profiled than the country house style variant. These winter gardens also often stand out in terms of color, as they are actually always very light (mostly white or light gray) coated on the inside. The dominant color on the outside is also white, followed by different shades of green and occasionally also shades of gray. This design is technically and in terms of room climate on the same level as the other two style variants. Visually, however, it is an absolute statement for the English style. Very exclusive and very British! |
Our Victorian Novara winter gardens are very often equipped with closed parapets, which appear very noble thanks to a profiled decorative frame and a central decorative rosette. Channel cornices with different profiles, aluminum covers with fluting and a wide range of rung variations ensure the particularly elegant character of these noble living space extensions.
In the interior we offer three different degrees of profiling. From very light profiling in the basic equipment to the more strongly profiled comfort variant to the premium variant with the full range of decorative profiles, millings, cornices and capitals. Your personal taste decides!
Novara winter gardens in the Victorian style often have a hipped roof glass dome, which is always equipped with a massive cast serrated strip on the outside. Depending on the degree of profiling in the interior, the dome is also profiled according to the overall construction.
