Modern flat roof Conservatory in Bauhaus style, with glass dome

This modern living room conservatory should be built on in such a way that the boundary distance to the neighboring semi-detached house is maintained. In addition, one side of the winter garden should go up to the garage wall to be created. Preferably with a glazed skylight. The architecture of the house should not be impaired by this winter garden extension and of course the winter garden should be used as living space all year round. If possible with a closed roof but still with sufficient light from above, especially for the rooms in front of which the winter garden is built. And of course the winter garden should also look good and have some special optical and technical details ...

Great, we need exactly such interested parties!

The result is impressive. A dreamlike flat roof winter garden was created with an elegant hipped roof glass dome, for a great feeling of space and a very, very pleasant skylight.

The cubic winter garden in the modern Bauhaus style impresses on the one hand with its reduced, puristic look with large-format panes, on the other hand the elegant hipped roof dome gives it an almost friendly, cozy touch.

When dividing the facade of a flat roof conservatory from our NOVARA line (regardless of whether it is with or without a glass dome), there is the option of setting different visual focal points. So you can go in the direction of the country house style through many struts, some additional profiles and a rung with small-format panes (mostly in combination with angled corner posts) or you can stick to a simple, large-format division (usually with an all-glass corner and internal stainless steel column). With the larger-format classifications, one can also distinguish whether the horizontal should be emphasized (e.g. object 13, object 17, object 47) or whether the vertical should be emphasized (this object, object 53, object 57).

In this NOVARA winter garden, the vertical is more emphasized.

That means, some slim vertical posts run through vertically and only one transom runs horizontally at the top, at a height of about 2.10 m. This bar separates the large lower area from the skylight with two large sliding doors. And it is precisely this skylight that is needed for this construction, because motorized tilt windows are built into the skylight, which are very important for the ventilation of the winter garden. In this case, two tilt windows provide cross ventilation or serve as an air inlet for the sliding roof window in the dome.

The ventilated and closed flat roof is filled with extremely good thermal insulation, which ensures that the heat stays outside even in summer. The glass dome is equipped with a neutral (hardly mirrored) sun protection glass that protects against overheating. In addition, a horizontal awning (canopy with motor drive!) Is installed inside under the dome, which interrupts the direct heat radiation and also offers a certain glare protection. Facade shading that is concealed behind the Steinbach special channel profile ensures a pleasant climate even in direct sunlight and also protects against overly curious glances from the neighborhood. All shading and ventilation elements are regulated by a conservatory control.

A refined detail in these modern Steinbach winter gardens is the seamless transition from the ceiling to the glass, without a bulky profile. In this area, a very special lighting atmosphere can also be provided with all-round indirect LED lighting (LED strip). For this property, however, recessed ceiling spotlights were used, which completely illuminate the winter garden.

As with all high-quality branded winter gardens from Steinbach, the stainless steel step protection is of course integrated in the transition from floor to foot bar, which offers this sensitive edge permanent protection against wear.

Extremely slim profiles with a face width of only 60mm (aluminum shell on the outside even only 54mm!) And the exclusive all-glass corners with internal stainless steel column (without bulky corner posts) ensure the very special lightness and elegance that can only be found at Steinbach conservatories, and give this property one modern touch that in no way competes with the architectural style of the house.
