Wonderful winter garden extension in the English style!
This fine Victorian winter garden was added to the balcony of an old forester's house. (If we didn't write this, nobody would notice ...). When designing this stylish winter garden, we paid close attention to the fact that the new winter garden and the existing house form an aesthetic unit and that the overall architecture is upgraded with the new winter garden extension. We have succeeded in doing this, may I state at this point ...
This is due, among other things, to the fact that we took over the bar construction of the existing windows of the house and constructed the winter garden around the given bar division.
The integrated canopy also contributes to the beautiful appearance of the entire ensemble.
The winter garden was completely designed, planned, manufactured and assembled by us. Steinbach also took care of the preparatory work such as laying the foundations, etc. There was no architecture firm involved!
For all its beauty, however, great care had to be taken to ensure that this property also works well and offers its happy residents a pleasant indoor climate all year round.
That is why we did not build the winter garden roof against the front edge of the balcony, but went about half a meter higher at the back; have worked with a so-called elevated balcony connection - a very demanding specialty from Steinbach! In this way we were able to achieve a good room volume and an attractive roof pitch. |

A small, tasteful railing was then installed on the raised ridge of the winter garden.
Due to the pure south orientation, the winter garden roof could not be too ornate, because the roof and facade
With a completely glazed roof, areas must be shaded from the outside. If this were not the case, the winter garden could not be used in the sunshine. Due to the large glass area of ??the roof in relation to the base area, solar control glass does not offer sufficient protection against glare and overheating !!!
Our external venetian blind systems were again used to shade the facade, and when retracted, they retract completely hidden behind the Victorian decorative gutter panel. Very elegant, without additional curtain-type boxes.
The heating system also fits! Floor-level trench heating was installed, which forms a pleasantly warm air curtain directly behind the facade, which radiates cold in winter, which interrupts the cold radiation.
The property is fully profiled inside and out in the English style. Our profiling variant 3, more is not possible! In addition to the profiles of the conservatory structure, the existing old balcony supports and balconies were of course clad with Victorian decorative panels and wooden coffers.
The stainless steel edge protection on the threshold is obligatory in the high-quality residential winter gardens from Steinbach and does not really need to be mentioned explicitly ... |
