Scala

Victorian ambience for lovers of perfect details

Scala combines the incomparable beauty of the old English winter gardens with the advantages of today's technology. The finest English style in a clever combination with the latest know-how, so to speak.

While the original English winter gardens were primarily used to overwinter exotic plants, the modern Victorian residential winter gardens by Steinbach can now be used as stylish living space 365 days a year. Scala is the playful Victorian winter garden with a glass roof for sophisticated individual living demands. The filigree supporting structure in a stable wood-aluminum construction, the use of the most modern glasses and lots of innovative, Steinbach-typical details ensure a feast for the eyes and the particularly stylish ambience.

Due to the large proportion of glass in the roof, special emphasis must be placed on shading, a control system and the heating system used in Scala winter gardens. The more playful the cubature of the roof (which means that it can hardly be shaded conventionally) and the more the winter gate extension should be oriented towards the sun, the more difficult it will be to use a Scala winter garden as a fully-fledged living space in the warm season. With the Victorian version of our Novara winter gardens, we offer the right solution for particularly demanding locations.

SCALA

Scala Victorian style conservatories

Our fine Victorian winter gardens of the Scala line are technically based on the same wood-aluminum construction as our classic glass roof winter gardens of the Modena line and are also individually made to measure. However, the two winter garden lines already differ from one another visually and architecturally at first glance. While Modena winter gardens are usually very clear cubatures with larger pane formats and are equipped without any ornaments - at most with a small ribbon bar in the skylight - Scala winter gardens go very much in the opposite direction. Scala conservatories usually have much more playful structures, a significantly smaller format, are usually painted in opaque white or light gray on the inside and are in most cases very strongly profiled and decorated with a lot of additional profiles and cornices.

Like all other winter gardens in our various winter garden lines, the Victorian winter gardens in the Scala line also benefit from the consistently thought-out and cleverly developed construction based on the Steinbach system, with lots of clever details and special features. Be it the special gutter cornice (with Scala of course in the strongly profiled variant), the dimmable LED starry sky, the profiled energy column, windows and doors with security fittings, the important edge protection in the base bolt inside, the modern triple glazing or the automatic Conservatory control, to name just a few special features. All of these points ensure that a Victorian conservatory not only looks beautiful, but also works well!
